Letter Condemning the Thai Invasion of Cambodia and Human Rights Violations Against the Cambodian People
The Cambodian Institute for Democracy (CID), together with 182 Cambodian civil society organisations, unequivocally condemns the use of force, military incursions, and serious violations of international law allegedly committed by the Thai government and military within Cambodian territory.
These actions constitute grave breaches of the UN Charter, the ASEAN Charter, international human rights law, and international humanitarian law. They pose a direct and unacceptable threat to civilians, regional peace, and the international rules-based order.
We stand in solidarity with affected communities and call for an immediate cessation of hostilities, full respect for international law, and accountability for all violations. Peace, human dignity, and the protection of civilians must prevail.
